The Doosan DX225 is a strong production machine for big excavation, demolition and heavy loading. On Swedish jobs it runs in civil works where you need force and reach all through the day. At 22 tonnes it is built for volume and takes a hard pace.
On a civil job the DX225 digs deep trenches, loads spoil and rips up old ground. On demolition it takes concrete and structures with the right attachment. The machine does the heavy work, and the attachments should take the same wear as the machine.
For a machine worked hard you choose attachments by durability. The attachment rating should follow the machine weight without compromise, an undersized attachment becomes downtime you do not want mid-job on a big site.
Buckets and attachments that fit the DX225
For a 22-tonne machine you choose large digging buckets for excavation and a grading bucket for levelling. A toothed bucket is faster in hard ground, a grading bucket gives an even surface on slopes and trench bottoms. Bucket size is matched to the machine weight and reach.
A sorting or demolition grapple turns the DX225 into a strong material machine. It loads stone, pulls apart and sorts. At 22 tonnes the machine carries the grapple steadily even well out from the tracks.
The attachments run on the S70 hitch, the standard coupler for the large class. With the same hitch on every attachment you swap quickly between bucket, grapple and breaker during production.
Hydraulic breaker and heavy attachments for the DX225

Check the oil flow against the breaker spec before you buy. The DX225 has plenty of flow, but the breaker has to be matched to your machine hydraulics. A mismatched breaker hits sluggishly and wears prematurely.
A ripper gets you through compacted ground and rock the breaker cannot manage. It tears up the ground ahead of the bucket, and at the DX225 weight it makes a big difference on heavy ground.
S70 quick hitch and fit
The Doosan DX225 runs an S70 hitch, the heavy coupler for large excavators. Check the attachment is listed for S70 before you order or it will not fit. At 22 tonnes the machine puts large forces on the hitch, so the rating is not something you cut corners on.
A tiltrotator works in this class and gives the bucket more movement on mixed jobs near edges and slopes. On pure digging and loading the money often does more on extra buckets.
