We carry cutters from S40 to S60. It mounts on the machine hitch and cuts the edge on the same machine that digs, so you keep one step instead of two.
Why cut the asphalt first?
A clean cut edge holds the surrounding surface together around the trench, gives a straight joint to reinstate against, and reduces settlement at the edge. It also saves an extra machine or a hand saw on site.
Which size should I choose?
Pick by hitch and machine weight, S40 to S60. A heavier machine cuts deeper and straighter through thick surfacing.
