Sweepers for Sale

A hydraulic sweeper turns an excavator or skid-steer into a fast site-cleanup tool. After a demolition pour, road-build, or paver lay, the same machine that did the work can sweep up the debris in minutes — no truck-mounted sweeper, no walking crew with brooms. The sweepers in this category are rotary-brush units that mount on the standard S40–S60 quick hitch and discharge swept material to the side or front of the carrier.

AWA Street Sweeper (1 500 mm, poly bristle, 5–14t carriers) suits builder-merchants and small contractors who need an occasional cleanup tool. GORE Street Sweeper (1 800 mm, poly + wire combo, 6–16t carriers) is built for daily municipal and commercial use — wider sweep, stiffer bristles, harder material handling. Both have variable speed (0–200 RPM on GORE, 0–180 on AWA) for fine dust through to compacted gravel.

When Is a Hydraulic Sweeper Better Than a Truck-Mounted Unit?

Truck-mounted sweepers are faster on long runs (kilometres of road) but they need clear access and they cost a separate machine. The excavator-mounted sweeper wins on construction-site cleanup, parking lots, mixed-debris yards, and anywhere your access is restricted. It’s also dramatically cheaper if you already own the carrier.

Poly Bristle vs Combination — Which Brush?

Poly bristle (AWA) is gentle on sealed surfaces and ideal for fine dust, sand, and light debris on tarmac or paved areas. The poly-wire combination (GORE) handles compacted soil, dried concrete splatter, and heavier site debris but wears the surface harder — fine for unsealed yards, less suitable for new asphalt.

FAQ

Frequently asked

Can the sweeper pick up gravel and small stones?
Yes — both sweepers handle aggregate up to roughly 20 mm. For larger stones the bristles will throw the material rather than sweep it, so for cleanup of mixed gravel/aggregate you’ll want a follow-up bucket pass or a scraper bucket first.
Are these sweepers suitable for snow clearing?
For light snow (under 50 mm fresh fall) the GORE sweeper with the wire-bristle combo works well on yards and access tracks. For heavy snow you want a dedicated snow blade or pusher — sweepers shred bristles fast against compacted ice. Spare bristle sets are stocked at our Saltsjö-Boo workshop.
How is the sweeper angle adjusted?
Both sweepers have hydraulic angle adjustment from the cab — typically ±30° from straight. This lets you discharge debris to the side as you progress, no walking back over what you’ve just swept. The direction is reversible for two-pass yard sweeping.
