Excavator Auger Bits and Accessories
An auger bit is the drilling tool; the drive unit supplies rotation. Start with the hole diameter, depth and material, then compare a suitable bit with the drive you own or plan to buy. The excavator mount and the drive-to-tool connection are different parts of the installation.

S4 and S5 identify product series to check, not permission to mix accessories freely. They are not the same designations as S40 and S50 machine mounts. Verify the exact articles and intended combination.
Choose the bit for the job
Describe the required hole diameter, depth and ground conditions. Check the selected drive’s documented bit-size limits and the bit’s intended material. A 200, 300 or 600 mm model designation identifies a nominal tool size; it is not a foundation design or a promise of performance in every soil.

Extension connections and drilling depth
An extension adds connections that each need checking. Compare shaft profile, dimensions, retaining arrangement and permitted use at both ends. S4E-1000, article G-AU-00008, is an extension in the catalogue; the name does not establish which drives or augers it may be used with. Adding nominal extension lengths does not establish a permitted drilling depth.
Identify replacement pilots, teeth and pins
Use the parts list or provide the attachment model and serial number. Include photographs of the marking, connection and part being replaced. Similar appearance, matching brand or the same series name is not sufficient to confirm a replacement part.
